42East (Pork Satay from Melaka to KL)
Well Well, what do you know.. more than 6 weeks since my last Blog Post!
Life has been Hectic.. Which meant.. i needed a drink..
So an old friend called me up one day and said, hey.. why dont come join us for a drink at this new joint in TTDI. I asked what’s good? and he said… well.. Melaka Food!
Everything after that was blur.. after you hear melaka food! that’s where the conversation ends right? so i paid the place a visit and decided to write a thing or two about it..
Here’s what the place looks like from the outside if you’re looking for it for the first time.. if you are a regular in TTDI, it’s just a couple of doors away from SIDS. 🙂 Here’s a Pictorial Storyboard of my dinner @ 42East
Would have preferred the meat to be chunkier but where else can you find pork pong teh in KL right?
I quite liked this dish.. Sauce was thick and chicken was well marinated.
The Beacon is also neat stuff..
Read a lot of other very good comments about the Ribs at 42East. Mine was a bit overcooked that day but it was still ok.. highly recommended by other bloggers.
Boss said i should try this.. but was too much for me + Kok Wei to handle. Next time maybe.
Food is actually served as Tapas and not main dishes. So it’s not a place you want to go for dinner. However, if you are looking for a neighbourhood pub serving beers at RM35+/jug with good Tapas of Melaka, then 42East is the place to hang out.
Plus if you’re a football fan, come on weekends and see many Liverpool & United fans gather to watch football on their High Definition Projectors. Real Sweet!
And not forgetting. If you love Frozen Margharita’s, this places serves 5 different flavours of them. Plus, they actually have a Slurpee machine to make their margharitas so expect them really chilly and frozen! double nice!
Well.. i really wanted to try the Melaka Pork Satay but it was a new menu and that was the most popular item so it got sold off in the first 3 days of its introduction!
Next trip! Melaka Pork Satay & Pork Burger!
