Leaving behind money or legacy?

Tribute Post to T Ravi Chitty.

Ravi Chitty

Ravi Chitty

It was 12.15AM in the morning a week ago.. my phone beeped. In it a message read, Pray for Ravi, he suffered a heart attack, we’re at the hospital and the doctors are trying to revive him. Barely 15 minutes later, another message followed to say that he has been called back by the lord. At 12.30 in the morning, though i knew there was not much i could do, i left the office to head down to the hospital to join my relatives. Ravi was 54.

Growing up with Uncle Ravi was quite fun. He was always that uncle that always had some kind of joke to cheer you up. Listening to stories about him was fun too. He has always been regarded as that uncle that would always lend a hand to others. Though it might be burdening to himself. No questions asked. That’s Ravi.

Over the next few nights, hundreds of people swarmed in to fill the funeral parlour to pay their last respects to Ravi. Not only was there no empty seats left, but at each wake, people were standing right up till outside the hall.

And it was there that i heard of stories of Ravi that has gotten me to write this post today. My uncle Ravi never lived a life of luxury. He just lived a life to provide the best he can to the people he loved and yes that included friends. And at his funeral, stories of how Ravi has touched and inspired so many peoples lives were told.

I reflected this exact moment in my life.. up till that very moment where i received that message on the passing of Ravi, i was in office.. at 12.30 in the morning.. and to think.. work was not done. I asked myself today. Why? Is it worth it? Well for starters, i am sort of a workaholic. I really love working. But…..

Over the past week, i have been thinking. It’s almost 4 years now since i started Paranormal and what started off as a 2 person operation in a space that was borrowed to us, has turned into a 25 man operation in a place we now call our own studio. It’s been tremendous and it’s been life changing. But is it all worth it? Yes i drive a much nicer car now. I dont have credit problems anymore. I eat anywhere i want. I buy pretty much everything that i think is worth buying. But really. What if it was me leaving this world tomorrow? What legacy would i have left behind?

And so, business planning over the past week has actually started changing. I now aim to make less money, and aim to lessen my own workload. I’m not exactly sure how yet, but yes plans are on the way. I’d like to take more time moving forward to do things that are really meaningful. Changing people’s lives. Developing talents more seriously. Giving more people opportunities to shine bright like a diamond. And although this all means i make less money.. it’s really ok. I’m not in it for the money. I’m in it to leave behind a legacy.. and hopefully some money for the people that loved me.

I’d like to thank all the people that have been supporting my business & crazy ideas over the past few years. I owe this success today to a lot of people. I’d hope to continue working with more brands still. But i’m gonna start leaving the day-to-day business to my team and start working on creating memories for brands. Let’s see if i can do that in the next 2 years.

On behalf of the team at my Social Media arm Paranormal Solutions, my Talent Management arm, Paranormal Talents, my newly formed record label, Paranormal Records, and my production arm ParanorMalaya Productions. Thank you for believing in us. Our sincere apologies if we have wronged anybody in anyway.

Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin,

Live life to the fullest. #YNWA

The ‘Cheap’ iPhone Scam (Factory Price My Ass)

Lately, i’ve been spotting Ads on Instagram reviewed by some popular kids posting about some IG shops selling cheap iPhone6 and other apple products. Now, logically speaking, how many times have you seen an Apple store selling a new product at a discounted price? That’s right, the answer is ‘Never’. So why is it these shops can sell you the phones at 15% – 20% below market value. Well their claim is that they buy it directly from the factory..

What do you think?

Suddenly, this reminded me of a scam that happened during my teenage years.. and though that was some 15 years ago, i remember it quite clearly in my mind.

There was a syndicate back then, claiming that they can get phones tax free and therefore sold phones at a cheaper price. A lot of people started buying from them as they were actually getting stocks for the discounted price. The scam only unfolded only when people got greedy, thinking that they could buy these phones in bulk and then sell them and still make money. This is how it works.

The scammer sells a product (let’s say it’s an iPhone6, 64GBs) at RM 2,400.00 (Shelf price RM 2,700.00) and about 5 people buy’s the phone from them. They will buy the phone at RM 2,700.00 and sell at RM 2,400.00 which means they loose RM 300.00 per phone. By selling 5 Phones, they loose RM 1,500.00. Then they advertise by giving a famous instagrammer 1 phone to get publicity. Now their loss is RM 1,500.00 + RM 2,700.00. But they have gained first of all 5 Testimonials and also 1 famous review on Instagram for RM 4,200.00

Their next step is to take orders. You will notice that there is no COD in this business and no payment of deposit. You have to order and pay up-front. Let’s say because of their marketing strategy, they receive 20 orders this time. At this point, it’s up to the scammers if this is enough of profit or not. For example, 20 X RM 2,400.00 = RM 48,000.00 and at this point they can just disappear with the money and make a clean profit of about RM 40,000.00

The people who suffer from this scam would be :

  • The people who saved up RM 2,400.00 just to buy an iPhone and got scammed
  • The people who reviewed that post for a Free iPhone (Credibility Lost)
  • The people who gave testimony on receiving their iPhone from the seller

Now my friends, i know most of you who are planning to buy an iPhone or has been saving up for one, would get super excited when you see a deal like this and this clouds your judgement but please… think twice before you pay full amount for a product in which the seller does not allow COD (Cash On Delivery) or pickup of product from shop.

There are a lot of scammers out there and i chose to write this post today because i don’t want YOU to be the one Scammed.

And to the Instagram reviewers, please be careful of what you review. Thankfully, one of my company’s #ParanormalMY reviewers came and ask me whether it’s ok to review something like this and thankfully i’m aware of things like these. Imagine if her 200+ Thousand followers would have seen her Ad and bought an iPhone from that seller. We never know what could have happened.

Remember, it’s ok to make money from Reviewing products and services, but you have to consider the credibility of the brand or business and how it might effect your followers.

Have a great 2015 and hopefully i’ll have a bit more time to blog some interesting things in 2015.

Take care, – MB

The Story of ‘Melakaboy’

You know.. i think i’ve never publicly told people how ‘honestly’ i became the man i am today.

Some 10 years ago, i learn a very bitter lesson in life. Music is really not a career to pursue in Malaysia. Pays badly and its not secure. So i’ve a lot of respect for my musician friends who have stuck by it and has continued making music for the love of it. I met the late Paul Ponnudorai around that time and i’ll never forget his first advice to me. ‘Never Give Up Playing’

Well, i never really pursued a music carer. Just jammed here and there with my friends.. though i must admit i really wanted to. So i gave up my music dreams and pursued a more stable career with the intention of someday, i will help change the ideology that music cannot be made a career.

Sometime 5 years ago, my boss Sulin Lau during one of her smoking sessions asked me. Hey what do you think about changing your current work portfolio and working on a special project to get to know the Malay Entertainment Industry a little better. It was all alien to me back then but hey.. i’m always up for challenges. And this was the beginning my career as Melakaboy.

Made my first few friends in this industry and their support i can never repay. Thank you Lisa Surihani Mohamed & Shaheizy Sam Samad for always telling people that i’m a good person to work with as that really gave my credibility a boost.

And so, 2.5 years ago, i came up with this really crazy idea that social media seeding was gonna boom and i created a master plan to ‘Take Over The World’ lolz. Just a figure of speech btw.

And so when i achieved some level of success, a friend came up to me and asked.. what do you think about managing my daughter who just happens to be one of the most popular 7year old kid during that time. Now i knew nothing about talent management at that time but i thought, hey here’s where i could actually start living my dream to make some change to the industry and so i obliged and Mia Sara Nasuha became the first talent in ParanormalMY.

It’s an amazing journey these 2.5 years. We’ve grown heaps and bounds and i considered myself to have already make a change in the industry. Though small, everything starts with a single step.

i don’t know what the future holds for me. But i know for sure i will shine bright to guide more people like Elizabeth Tan in ensuring that if you got the talent, you should be making the money.

And last but not least, sincere thank you to Bob Tan for actually believing in my crazy ideas and investing in them.

To my wife, Shermaine Koh tq for not giving up on my late nights and crazy working schedules.

Quoting Journey ‘ Lovin a Music Man ain’t what it’s suppose to be, oh girl you stand by me’ and to all of you.. ‘i’m forever yours’ Faithfully!

#TenThingsToNoteWhen Roaming with Hotlink/Maxis

About 3 years ago, i was in Paris and i encountered many problems trying to get online. You see, i’m a workaholic and having no DATA means HELL!

So we have probably all heard stories of people who have experienced BILL SCARES when roaming.. right? I’ve personally heard of people who have experienced bills of up to tens of thousands due to data roaming!

So, i decided that i was gonna buy a French based telco sim card when i got to Paris! Guess what? On my second day in Paris, i walked into a telecommunication shop and attempted to buy a sim card. They told me that it takes 48 hours to activate data for new sim cards. WHAT? and i had only 4 days in Paris left. Decided not to buy the sim card and looked for Wi-Fi in Cafe’s around! Guess what? It’s not easy to get Free Wi-Fi in Paris!

So lately, i went on a trip to Paris & London again and this time i decided i had to find another solution to roam!! I first checked my current telco and the roaming rates for Paris & London were RM58/day.. so expensive 😦 and so i searched on and found that Maxis & Hotlink were offering RM38/day roaming in Paris & London! So i picked up a Hotlink Sim Pack and now that i’m back from my trip, i’m here to tell you 10 things you should know.

1. You have to activate your sim card in your own country first and if it is a different telco from your current telco, do download the settings. If not, when you reach your destination, you’ll need to find a wi-fi connection to download the settings before you can use data roaming.

2. You will receive instructions to choose a specific Telco to roam with. You have to manually select this telco from your phone settings. For Paris it’s Bougytell and if im not mistaken in London it’s Orange O2. Don’t choose the wrong Telco as your RM38/day data roaming works with only your telco’s partner. It’s the same for all telco’s.

3. You will then receive a SMS to teach you how you can purchase data roaming with Hotlink. From what i know, for Maxis customers, it will be automatically capped at RM38/day. After you purchase the Data plan for RM38/day with hotlink, you can turn on your Data Roaming on your phone and you are ready to surf.

4. Data roaming is capped at 50MB/day for most countries but if you are travelling to UK & France its 250MB, enough for whatsapp, instagram, twitter & all. So don’t go download large files and all. Save that for when you have Wi-Fi in the hotel at night. As usual once your data is capped, your speed will be throttled but whats important is that there is No Extra Charge for exceeding your quota.

5. Day packages expire at 11.59PM local time. This means that at midnight your data goes back to Pay As You Use. Now it’s important to remember this. If you are going to sleep before 12 midnight, please switch off your data roaming.

6. When you wake up in the morning, you can subscribe to another day of Data Roaming and you can then activate back your Data Roaming and you’re as good as new to surf. They will send reminder at 11PM, an hour before your data max cap expires on each day. Follow the steps i’ve told you and you will have no bill shock!

7. What if you accidentally leave your data running and all your credit gets drained out overnight? when you wake up, your credit you have on the phone is finished? Well, what you can do is whatsapp someone in Malaysia and ask them to go to a Maxis Centre to top-up for you. Yes, top up can be done even though you are overseas.

8. On a day where you are possibly travelling to another country from Paris, dont subscribe to data in the morning especially if you are leaving by noon. Use the Hotel Wi-Fi. Only purchase new data when you are roaming at the new roaming location. Else, you will be paying 2 times for the roaming on the same day

9. Speed of Internet in European countries are quite stable. When i was roaming with Hotlink, i was connected at 3MBPS on my roaming network. It’s amazing but it also means that it will drain more data usage. So do remember you have only 50MB data per day. Should you run out of the 50MB data and your speed get throttled, you can purchase another 50MB for RM38 again. So as long as you can pay, you are covered. Also,

10. Oh and lastly, If your phone is registered with Telco A whatsapp, and you insert Telco B sim card to travel, your whatsapp phone number remains the same. This means that people can still whatsapp you like normal though you have changed sim cards. However, people who dont have your new number will not be able to call you. For me, it was all good as i’m on holiday! people should not call me! Just whatsapp me and wait for my reply 🙂

So that’s my data roaming experience with Hotlink in Paris & London.

If you’re making a trip, i hope my tips works for you. Have fun surfing while travelling. Take more pictures & instagram them.

If this post helped you solve your roaming worry, dont forget to tag me on your instagram posts when you travel and roan with Maxis/Hotlink. Search me on Instagram @melakaboy

Look forward to seeing your beautiful pictures while roaming!

Bon Voyage!

#TenThingsToNoteWhen Travelling with Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways

So you’re travelling with Etihad Airways. Here’s what you should know.

  1. If you transit in Abu Dhabi, you should have at least 2Hours of Transit time. This is because when the plane touches down, you will have to disembark into a shuttle bus that will bring you to the terminal. This takes some time. On your Flight Entertainment System, your transit gate will already be highlighted before you land. Take note of that so that it will be easier to find your gate.
  2. If you are a Playing Cards collector like me, Etihad does have playing cards. However, you might have some trouble getting your hands on one. For example, i was onboard 4 flights travelling from KL – CDG Paris transitting in Abh Dhabi and later Heathrow London – KL transitting again in Abu Dhabi. I asked 7 flight attendants on board for a deck of cards but all of them told me that they will check and get back to me. None of them did except on my last flight, Flight attendant, who identified herself as Yuen, asked me again on my way out of the plane did i get my cards and when i said no, she immediately got one for me. I took the initiative to google her and found out that she is Sylvia Tan Yuen Yuen, senior cabin crew member who takes care of business & first class passengers. It must have been my lucky day. If any airline is looking to hire a really responsible and first class service cabin crew, i’d recommend her. At least she is the only reason i’d consider flying Etihad again.
  3. Cabin crew are not so friendly overall. They are nice. But it’s just work for them. For instance, there was a gentleman who had some rubbish on his tray and asked the lady if she could clear it while she was collecting the headsets. She replied i’ll be back for that. Can’t you see i’ve only got 2 hands. If it would have been me, i would have told her it’s ok she does not have to come back. Such poor service.
  4. Food and drinks are not too bad on the flight. However, if you are seated on the last few rows on the flight, you face the problem that the meal of your choice might finish by the time it gets to you. For instance, if you dont take beef and the other option is chicken, you might have to settle for vegetarian if chicken finishes by the time it reaches you.
  5. Flight seats also proved to be a bad experience for me. At Heathrow when i was trying to check in the staff told me they cant seem to check in my Abu Dhabi-KL flight as it was overbooked.. i was like ‘huh?’ i was lucky the senior staff member told me to hold on as he was calling Abu Dhabi to find out what was happening and wanted to make sure he checked me in before we left Heathrow as because i was transitting, it would be difficult for me to check in there. Thank god. He finally managed to check us in but i was travelling with my parents and all 3 of us were split into 3 different seats on different rows. Imagine that. BAD experience. Wonder what went wrong. I hope a rep from Etihad would explain to me what went wrong so i could clear their name here. Else, i’d just say it’s bad ticketing system.
  6. Flight had small short delays. But thankfully when they delay the flight, transit flights will also wait for you. But it also means that as soon as you touch down, you’ll be rushing to your next gate. So try to buffer more transit time.
  7. At Abu Dhabi airport, they deal with AED currency.. you can also pay in Euro or Dollars but only if you purchase over a certain amount. They will return change in AED. The 1 issue i experienced throughout my 2 transits is, each counter was trying to either encourage you to buy more chocolates as they had not enough coins change or they’d just tell you outright we are short 1 dirham is that ok? NO ITS NOT OK BUT BECAUSE I’M RUSHING FOR MY FLIGHT I CANT ARGUE! Very inethical. Wonder if anyone had the same experience.
  8. You can get some descent food at Abu Dhabi airport in case you did not eat very well in the plane. They even have McDonalds in one of their terminals.
  9. At the Abu Dhabi airport, Wi-Fi is FREE so if you wanna check in on Foursquare or Swarm, this is the time to do it.
  10. All-in-all its an average experience flying on Etihad. But their Business & First class seats looked amazing. If you could afford em, it looks superbly comfy to fly them.

So if you’re flying with Etihad, those were 10 things to note. If you’re from Etihad, then please take note of my bad experiences and good luck making things better for your future customers.

A March full of Conspiracy, Social ill, Drought & Haze

A March full of Conspiracy, Social ill, Drought & Haze

It’s really been a difficult time to smile in Malaysia lately. There has just been too much sadness. If you’d excuse me, i’d like to write a little bit and get all this negativity out of me..

Conspiracy – Firstly, i’d like to tell everyone and every media that told ‘me’ and others like me to stop speculating and spreading rumours to wake up and take a look at who’s spreading lie’s and rumours now? But what happens if the plane really is found in the ocean now? What could that mean? In my personal opinion, if the plane is found in the ocean now, it would have been planted there already. The people who were intended to be kidnapped or interrogated has been offloaded and they now need a cover story. surely, i hope that i am wrong and somehow, flight #MH370 will come home.

Social Ill – 6 Reported dead and another 3 still in critical condition at the Future Music Festival Asia during the ASOT night (thats short for A State Of Trance in case some people are wondering). Now, it is not the organisers fault. And you really can’t blame the police or security. Why? firstly, most of this kids pop the drugs way before entering the venue area and even if they tried to bring in the pills, there is more than 50 thousand people trying to get in and it’s in the middle of the night. It’s easier said than done to find 5 tablets which is probably hidden in their underwears. So do you ban Rave parties all-together? i don’t know. Raving is quite associated to drugs, but at one time in life, so is Rock & Disco. To the youths out there, if you think you can control the substance that you pop in your mouth, remember this. Illegal drugs are manufactured in garages and illegal factories. The level of substance is brewed by some guy who might be high himself. 99% might have controlled amount of drugs but 1% might OD you. Moreover, when you are on a high, there is no controlling wanting more. That’s when it gets out of hand. So if you think you can control drugs, think again..

Drought – Thank god for rain these 2 days. And rain came after the announcement of cancellation of FMFA! We must have done something right? i dont know but i’m just happy to see rain!

Haze – A lot of people are getting sick this week due to the bad haze. Thankfully, things are getting better. The rain has cleared the skies for now. phewwwwww. However, try spending less time outdoors to minimise your exposure. 🙂

In light of all the negativity, we have to be strong and spread some positivity. It’s high time we shared positive messages on our twitter, facebook & instagram! we all need a lift in our spirits. Therefore, no more sad sad stuff from me anymore! from today on, it will be good news on my social networks until the end of the week! 1 week of positivity coming right up! put a smile in the faces of the people you love. Be a friend for those in need. Do what you need to do to spread positivity! #WeLoveMalaysia

MH370 – My Theory

MH370 - My Theory

*The Theories & Assumption in this post are merely speculations & personal thoughts

So, We are in 2014 and a gigantic plane goes missing in thin air?? There are so many uncertain questions left unanswered. Here is what i think happened.

I personally think all this is a conspiracy & cover up. Someone onboard flight MH370 is an important person that some government needs to capture without people knowing. The plane indeed emergency landed in Nanning and all cellphones has been confiscated. All phones are switched ‘off’ except for one of course that some person in China who managed to call through his brother’s cell but nobody answered.

There must be a reason for such a big coverup. Probably the identity of this person is so important that the fact that he is being abducted might worsen a political war. Ukraine Vs Rusia perhaps? and probably all negotiations are happening with world leaders. This is really like in the movies we watch where it is for our safety that all this information is not shared.

Well, this is just my thoughts. There are too many abnormalities of what happened to #MH370 to consider it an air accident. The timing of lost of communication, the radar signal being switched off, so much effort for search but no sign of emergency beacon signal at all, the nanning reporting of landing, the cellphone ringing, the 2 people travelling under stolen passports. (STOLEN and NOT False!)

This is just my opinion and there are no facts backing it up. And if what i speculate is to be false, all i pray for is that whatever happened to #MH370, the passengers to be safe.

My heart goes out to all the family & friends of the passengers of #MH370.

5. Rajin-rajin lah pergi ‘Casting’

Nak jadi Penyanyi pula macam mana? Zaman dulu, nak jadi penyanyi susah.

Jadi, duduk cakap nak jadi artist, nak berlakon, nak jadi penyanyi manalah cukup… do something about it. We always need to have a plan.

Pandai menyanyi pulak tu. She’s @SyadaAmzahh!! and through her and Syahir, MB berjumpa pula Adel Asha masa Festival Belia 2013..

Kalau nak tengok lebih video #OhMyMalaysia, kenalah rajin suruh kawan-kawan lain tengok sebab kalau tak ramai orang tengok, mana kita nak cari sponsor? Jadi, kalau lapang, kongsikan Video-Video #OhMyMalaysia ok? Siap bagi playlist ni 🙂

Tq sudi support #OhMyMalaysia!

The Paranormal Journey..

ImageFirstly, i’m sorry for not blogging for a while now. The past 2 years has just been crazy. It’s safe to say i turned my life upside down and inside out. The step i took towards this journey i call ‘Paranormal’ has indeed been anything but normal. I thought i’d just share my story with aspiring entrepreneurs and hope my story inspires em.

How it all started : About 4 years ago, i was working in DiGi, doing events & sponsorships. It was just one strange evening when Sulin Lau, someone i consider my mentor came up to me (which she rarely does) and says let’s take a walk.. So i followed her for her regular cigarette break and she started talking to me about venturing into the local entertainment industry to build engagement with the Malay market. At that point, the only thing i knew about the local music industry is the pub scene. A scene where i frequent and i spent my nights listening to good ol country & folk music.

The Challenge : I obviously took the challenge. I always step up to take on new challenges. So step 1 : Research.. Google was the tool and Top Malaysian Malay celebrities on Facebook was my first search. Stumbled upon a site which told me Lisa Surihani was the most liked person on Facebook. At that point, Lisa had about 800,000 likes on her FB page. And that’s where it all began. I built a list of 20 most followed celebrities on social media and presented them to my bosses. What happened? Nobody knew anything about the existence of this ‘market’ which was followed my millions of Malaysians. What happened next? I managed the signing of Lisa Surihani, Shaheizy Sam, Aizat Amdan & Mia Sara as Friends of DiGi. So much memories but yes, they are my first 4 friends in this industry.

Konsert Jelajah Desa : About a year later, we tried out something new. Instead of having concerts in Key Market Centres, we brought concerts to the outskirts. At this point, i started learning that the entertainment industry was full of people who were trying to make big money by using their connections with the celebrities. Back then, if you paid RM 10,000 for a performer, the performer gets probably about just half the amount. This was something that i strongly am against so i literally made sure that i negotiate directly with each celebrity that we engaged and ensured that they got payment that is fair for them. Indirectly, i made ‘more’ friends and somewhere on the line, made ‘enemies’ with people that were already sucking money from celebrities.

Social Media : Having spent most of my budget on making sure the line up is strong, i had very little resources left for A&P. That’s where i started asking for favors. I asked all celebrities involved to assist in marketing this concert in their FB’s and Twitters and they all helped out. Till today.. i’m still grateful to all the celebrities involved in Konsert Jelajah Desa. So concert turn out was good. A couple of thousand in each venue and bosses were happy. But for me, if i spent 1 Million Ringgit on a concert, i should have reached more people than just a few thousand people at 6 venues.

Social Media Tracking : So i did a little research online during the first week of the concerts. Could i track statistics of the advertising that was done on twitter & facebook? and thats where i stumbled upon (hashtracking) at that time a FREE tool for tracking twitter campaigns and when the reports came in, the numbers were just amazing. We were reaching out to more than 1 Million people at that time and to support this report i did an online survey to ask people how did they get to know about the concert. I got about 500+ responses and almost 80% of the people got their information from Facebook & Twitter! Now that’s amazing!

Paranormal Solutions : When i saw the results from the social media campaigns and knew a little back then about advertising, i had the feeling i could do 2 things. Number 1, i can help celebrities make more money and secondly, i could make a little more money than what i was getting back then. And so, i took a risk, a pay cut, a loan from my uncle Bob Tan, and challenged myself to start Paranormal Solutions.

How did we do? : My first client was Universal McCann who approached me back then for a KFC campaign. Today, McCann has become one of our biggest partners. 🙂 Thanks Wan, Polly & Rohayu! In our first year of business, with help from friends like Mark Darren, Shanker & Farah (All former colleagues), we had the opportunity to be a part of award winning campaigns like #Nestle100 & #TeamMalaysia, our first 2 major projects. Thank you Vanda & Mr. Khoo KK for believing in us.

And through #TeamMalaysia, i met Nick Gan who then introduced me to Zenith Media whom has officially became my biggest partner in 2013. Thank you Zenith Media & the Xpax team for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to grow together with your brand.

The Formula : If anyone ever asked me what’s my winning formula, i’d say it was real ‘Hard Work’ and ‘Passion Work’. Never once did i say No to my clients before giving it a try. Long hours were spent. I’ve even worked 2 months straight without weekends. It was crazy. But at the end of the day, it was well worth it.

People i need to thank : There’s a few people that has been there for me throughout my journey. People who believed in me, and has given me their 100% support! And i don’t get to say thank you to them enough, so i’m going to do it here. Thank you Aizat Amdan for being the first celebrity who followed me on twitter.. Thank you Zizan Razak for the countless retweets during DiGi Jelajah Desa. Thank you Yana Samsudin & Shila Amzah, the first 2 people that actually were my best friends on Twitter and for supporting me in the early days of my business. Thank you Mia Sara & Ridz for believing in me and becoming the First even Paranormal Talents. Thank you Elfira Loy for doing twitter work with me even though you have never met me before and also for telling all the other celebrities about us and introducing us to Nelydia. We are blessed to have both of you as our talents. Thank you Joe Lee for being a friend and helping me out with making media friends.

Our Future : In 2014, Paranormal Group has created a joint venture with theMalaya productions and now we are known as Paranormalaya Productions. I first met these twin brothers Man & Mie when they helped me vector pictures of Yana Samsudin. We then did our first tutorial video together for F&N Gempakz. Time flies. 1 Year later, we are creating content together like #OhMyMalaysia & #OhMyPerempuan and we are shooting all events together. It’s been a great journey boys! Let’s hope 2014 becomes more interesting for us!

My Advice : ‘Do business with integrity. Do not cheat and do not lie’ Strong words shared to me by my former Head of Marketing Boss Albern Murty. Remember this always. If you cheat people once, they will never believe you again. I stand by this principle and will do my best to uphold this principle and do my best to make a small change to how our local entertainment industry works.

We now work with over 50 top artist, the top malay youth key opinion leaders and over 200 twitter influencers! I am a proud man. Still a very small person in this entertainment industry, but enough to make a small difference.
